Product features
  • Working principle: Cold fluid (such as cooling water) and hot fluid (such as refrigerant vapor) enter the condenser from the same end and flow in the same direction while exchanging heat.
  • Outlet temperature limit: The outlet temperature of the cold fluid cannot theoretically exceed the outlet temperature of the hot fluid, which limits its maximum heat transfer efficiency.
  • High initial heat transfer: The heat transfer rate at the inlet is very high due to the largest temperature difference.
  • Relatively simple structure: Some tube-and-tube designs may have a more straightforward arrangement of tube bundles. Advantages: Suitable for applications where outlet temperature requirements are not strict, or where high thermal stress caused by large initial temperature differences is a problem.
  • Typical applications: some column-and-tube heat exchangers, specific waste heat recovery devices.
  • Working principle: Hot and cold fluids enter from both ends of the condenser and flow in opposite directions while exchanging heat.
  • Efficient heat transfer: Maintaining a relatively uniform and large average temperature difference across the entire heat transfer surface, the heat transfer efficiency is significantly improved compared to parallel heat transfer.
  • Superior temperature control: The outlet temperature of the cold fluid can be close to the inlet temperature of the hot fluid, allowing for deeper cooling and higher heat energy recovery.
  • Energy and Cost Savings: Higher efficiency means less heat transfer area or lower coolant flow required for the same task, resulting in lower long-term operating costs.
  • Advantages: high efficiency, energy saving, able to achieve lower condensation temperature or higher heating temperature. It is the first choice for most industrial applications.
