Working principle: Cold fluid (such as cooling water) and hot fluid (such as refrigerant vapor) enter the condenser from the same end and flow in the same direction while performing heat exchange.
Outlet temperature limit: The outlet temperature of the cold fluid cannot theoretically exceed the outlet temperature of the hot fluid, which limits its maximum heat transfer efficiency.
High initial heat transfer: Due to the largest temperature difference at the inlet, the heat transfer rate is very high.
Relatively Simple Construction: The tube bundle arrangement of some shell and tube heat exchangers may be more straightforward. Advantages: It is suitable for application scenarios where the outlet temperature requirement is not high, or where high thermal stress occurs due to excessive initial temperature difference.
Typical applications: some shell and tube heat exchangers, specific waste heat recovery devices.
